Fiend in a Cloud

The sun is shining, it's above 50 degrees (which feels like a heatwave compared to the kind of weather we've been having around here lately) and I'm stuck at work. I'd much rather be outside, going for a walk or something. Here's hoping the weather lasts for awhile and I can take advantage of the milder temperatures over the weekend.

In other news, this coming April we will once again be spending an evening with the ever-so talented John Vanderslice. I think we've gone to see him just about every time he's been in town over the past few years, and we've never been disappointed by his show. I think the best was when he played the Showbox opening for Pedro The Lion as that is one of my favorite venues. This time we will be heading out to the Triple Door for his performance. I'm quite excited because the Triple Door is somewhere I've always wanted to go, as it seems completely nifty. It's a renovated 1920s era vaudeville theater and no matter where you're seated you have a great view of the stage. According to their website "the intimate dimensions mean that even the late arriver to a sold-out show is no more than 35 paces from the stage". Should be a good time.
