I Heard It's Cold Out But Her Popsicle Melts
Confession time!I am slightly embarrassed to admit that I actually like She Wants Revenge. I am not exactly sure why I like them, they sound familiar yet not at the same time. I was talking about them with a friend and said that "they make me think of being in some dark, smokey club or something kind of sexy but dirty at the same time". That is the best way I can describe them, kind of dark and new wavy sounding. They have a list of influences on their MySpace page that totally make sense. Depeche Mode, Morrissey/The Smiths, Primal Scream, the Stooges, Stone Roses, New Order, Joy Division, David Bowie, etc. I think one of the reasons I like them is because they don't exactly sound like the majority of music today. They just stir up all kinds of emotions in me and I just can't help myself.
They are my latest guilty pleasure.
