We made this CD over a month ago and I swear we have barely taken it out of the CD player in the car. I've been totally loving the Death Cab, Harvey Danger and Nada Surf lately, and of course John Vanderslice goes without saying.

In case you missed it Harvey Danger are offering their new album for free. You can go to their site to find out how to go about downloading it. It's a terrific album. We downloaded it but of course had to buy it as well (not only for the bonus companion disc). Because to me, the fact that they're willing to give it away for free makes me want to support them and pay for it. I like the fact that they're experimenting with alternate ways of exposing their music to people. Not to mention when tons of bands are crying about how online downloading of their music is making them lose money, I like the fact that Harvey Danger are doing the exact opposite. I hope this experiment turns out well for them. So download their album, and if you like it, buy it. To quote the band: "Enjoy the record. Everything else is secondary."

What was your name again??

I think "DJ Cherry Canoe" is one of the dumbest names I've ever heard of for a DJ. Not to mention for some stupid reason I always thought said DJ was male, but come to find out today that she's actually female. It makes more sense that way, but still. You've got to be kidding.
